We have a week (THIS WEEK) to pick raspberries at the Whistle Pig in Noxen, PA! I took my 16 month old and three year old last night and we had a blast. There are no pickers (thorns) and you do not have to worry about poison ivy. There are tons of vines which are low to the ground for little fingers to pick and eat (shhhh don’t tell anyone). You only have this week so get moving.
You can pick from 8 AM- 1 PM and 5 PM- 8 PM every day for only $3.50/lb! If you cannot make it this week, there will be some berries in the fall. I hope you have as much fun as we did!

Did you know raspberries are high in Vitamin C and will help you absorb calcium and iron? So, don’t be shy- toss a handful in your cereal or on your spinach salad!

Great post! I’ve always wanted to take the kids to pick fruit. I need to look into it for sure
ha, ha! when the kids were small, we’d go apple picking. my husband reminded me that we were paying for the right to be stoop laborers…but the children loved it. Now we are blessed to have fruit trees in our own backyard…picking whenever something is ripe.
What a wonderful experience to teach children about food. And the raspberry lemon slush is on my list…yum!
