Beans are very popular in my home!  It would make sense that I would introduce them to my child at an early age (9 months)!  Today we slow boiled pink beans and created a wonderful TexMex dish!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup slow boiled beans (pinto, pink, black bean) without added salt
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon plain whole fat yogurt
1 hard boiled egg yolk
4 slices avocado
Dash of Cumin

Directions:

Mix or mash ingredients to a consistency safe for your baby to eat.  For a younger infant (9 months), I would mix in more yogurt or a thinning liquid (breast milk, formula, goat or cow’s milk).  If you are Baby Led Weaning, you will know the consistency that is perfect for your little bean!   Have fun and enjoy!!
